Rainy Day Riches
Prime real estate,
delivered right to my paws!
Today was the big neighborhood yard sale, and despite the drizzle, this determined Scottie was on a mission. Rain? Please. I’ve got weatherproof fur and an unshakable sense of purpose. We set out with high spirits and low expectations—and ended up having the best kind of soggy Saturday adventure.
The sidewalks were slick and the skies gray, but the real action was happening inside the open garages of our neighborhood. Each one transformed into a cozy little marketplace, sheltering all sorts of curiosities. Old books, forgotten toys, mystery bins, and blankets just begging to be sniffed.
Along the way, I bumped into two of my best pals—Bailey the big-hearted Bichon and Honey the tiny whirlwind with a bark twice her size. We exchanged sniffs and did a quick circle tail wag of approval before diving back into the search for hidden treasure. They were mostly there for the pets and the people, but I had an eye for the goods.
And what a hunt it was! I may not have come home with a chew toy or a vintage collar, but I did score something even better waiting for me at home—an empty Amazon Prime box. My family calls it "delivery," but I call it destiny. I hopped right in, turned once for good measure, and claimed it as my post-sale throne.
Rainy days don’t ruin adventures—they just give them character. And cardboard boxes? They make the perfect end to a damp but delightful treasure hunt.
Until next time,
